Dustin Poirier is an American former professional mixed martial artist who competed from 2009 to 2025. He formerly competed in the Featherweight and Lightweight divisions of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he was an interim UFC Lightweight Champion. Poirier also challenged three times for the undisputed UFC Lightweight Championship and twice for the BMF title. Although he never captured an undisputed UFC title, Poirier is frequently cited by MMA media and fellow fighters as one of the greatest lightweights in the sport’s history.
