Alec Steele

Alec Steele (born 16 November 1997) is a British blacksmith and YouTuber. His videos follow both vlog and documentary formats when focusing on blacksmithing, machining, restoration, and other adjacent trades.
Steele began blacksmithing at the age of 11, which he started a business for at the age of 16. Despite uploading short videos in 2011, he would take up learning videography to promote his products and sell courses shortly after, amassing a following of 200,000 by YouTube subscribes by 2017. In July of that year he would appear in a short segment of Forged in Britain, aired in between an episode of Forged in Fire.
Steele briefly moved into a larger workshop in Norwich in July 2017 before moving to a new workshop in Montana, US in November 2018. There, the History Channel reinvited Steele in 2018 to star in his own show, Forged with Steele. Producing videos with fellow blacksmithing friend Will Stelter in Montana for nearly two years, Steele would go on to move back to his same Norwich workshop in 2020, where he has worked and produced videos in since. Shortly after his move back to the UK, Forged with Steele was announced to run a second season, which aired in early 2021.
